Half of the UK’s seagrass beds have disappeared since the 1930s, making it the fastest disappearing habitat on the planet

It captures carbon 35 times faster than rainforests and cleans our ocean of polluting nutrients produced by humans.

It’s a biodiversity hotspot, with a single hectare of seagrass supporting 80,000 fish and 100 million small invertebrates.
